I am a settler living and working in the traditional territories of the Anishanaabe and the Haudenosaunee in the Dish With One Spoon Territory. The Dish With One Spoon is a treaty between the Anishanaabe and the Haudenosaunee. The part of this territory I live and work on was later included in Treaty 13 and is colonially known as the Greater Toronto Area. This land, like much of the land on Turtle Island, is occupied indigenous land that have been stolen from indigenous peoples through the coercive, violent and ongoing process of colonization. My family came to this land from China (via Hong Kong) and Ireland. I was born and raised in what is now called Southern Ontario. I support decolonization and the return of lands to all indigenous peoples. This includes, but is not limited to Turtle Island, Palestine and the Pacific Islands. You can learn more about whose land you are on here.
